With a win in last week’s race Thursday, May 31, Shannon Buys aboard Vertigo moved into a tie for first place in the Oak Harbor Yacht Club spring sailing series.

Sailing in 15-18 knots, Vertigo finished first ahead of second-place Yeah Dogg skippered by Chad Holcomb.

Vertigo and Yeah Dogg are now knotted atop the spring series standings.

In Thursday’s race, Lucky Jim (Jim McAlpine) was third, Separator (Steve Hucke) fourth and Renaissance (Dave Steckman) fifth.
