Yeah Dogg wins Magic Juan racing series / Sailing

Yeah Dogg and skipper Chad Holcomb wrapped up first place in the Oak Harbor Yacht Club Magic Juan Spring Racing Series which concluded Thursday, June 28.

The series covered nine races over six dates.

Holcomb snared three firsts and five seconds during the series and finished with a net score of 13, outdistancing fleet newcomer Separator and skipper Steve Hucke by nine points.

Vertigo and Shannon Buys took third with 23 points, one point better than fourth-place Lucky Jim and Jim McAlpine.

In Thursday’s action, Separator won the first race, followed by Vertigo, Renaissance (Dave Steckman), Yeah Dogg, Lucky Jim, Pearl Jem (Larry Munns), Gadzooks (Rex Dupuis) and Toto (Allen Wilson).

Vertigo took the second race, trailed by Yeah Dogg, Separator, Renaissance, Lucky Jim, Toto, Gadzooks and Pearl Jem.
